Khajjiar

Khajjiar is a very popular hill station located in Dalhousie. It is well known for its altitude 6500 ft., natural beauty, pleasant climate and is considered as beautiful as Switzerland. The vast green forest cover beside the majestic snow clad Himalayan peaks makes Khajjiar an ideal location for tourists to visit.

Paragliding
Paragliding is considered an amazing sport. Here you will be attached to a bean shaped big parachute along with your trainer. You will be able to fly along with the wind and have a good view of Khajjiar.
Trekking
In Khajjiar you have a well developed and designed trekking route through the meadows up the hill. You will be having a guide and will be staying in tents while you are trekking. The Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary is considered to be a good spot for trekking.
Zorbing
Zorbing is a recreational activity where you will inside a big zorb or a plastic ball and will roll down the hill.
Horse Riding
You can explore the slopes of Khajjiar while riding on horses. The horse riding team will follow the same route as that of trekking. It offers a good view of the meadows and Khajjiar.

Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary
The Kalatop Wildlife sanctuary which is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in India spreads over an area of 30.69 SQ km and is covered by Deodar trees. It is famous for the little streams of the River Ravi. The place is the homeland of animals like deer, bear leopard, jacket, Langur, etc.
The sanctuary is famous for its nature walks, treks and for picnics.
Khajjiar Lake
Khajjiarlake is located at a height of 1920metres and is surrounded by Deodar forests, grasslands, and hills. Water from different waterfalls fills the 1.5sq km lake. It is also considered as a perfect spot for a picnic.
Boating is also allowed on the Khajjiarlake, both speed and paddling boats are available.
Khajji Naga Temple
This temple from the 12th century was built by the side of the Khajjiar Lake dedicated to the lord of serpents, Khajji Nag. This temple has been made from wood and its architecture and design resemble a fusion of the Muslim and Hindu style. Pictures of Pandavs and Kauravs hang from the ceilings.
