1. Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Board Set for a Complete New Makeover
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to give relaxation in the 'Protected Area Permit' to foreigners visiting various parts of Ladakh. With the request from Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, the Union Ministry is all set to the new 'Protected Area Permit' which will allow foreign tourists to visit various parts of the Nubra Valley previously protected area.
The Chief Minister appreciated the new government resolves to boost several new tourism infrastructures in the state and open new areas in both Jammu and Kashmir for tourists. Mr. Mufti also directed the state tourism board to expedite necessary approvals and initiate work on various tourism projects as soon as possible. The Chief Minister has also asked the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department to special undertake infrastructure development for promotion of border tourism.
